Lisa J Dooley’s horror short ‘The Lonely Host’ is a sharp and gripping ride that’ll have you hooked until the very last frame.

Nightmarish Conjurings
With clever camera angles, excellently written characters, and perfectly executed design, Writer/Director Lisa J Dooley does more with fifteen minutes of film than some directors do with two hours.
[The Lonely Host] takes you down one path but switches gears to another...It’s shot well, no need for crazy effects, and its simplicity adds to the believability.

About

ABOUT
Growing up as the middle child of a 35 cousin Irish family, Lisa J Dooley learned from an early age that to be noticed, you have to take your space. After studying acting at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Lisa performed at Second City, made videos for Cracked.com, and worked as a stunt performer before finding that filmmaking gave her the ability to put all her skills to use. She received her MFA in Film and Television Production from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, and has since won awards in Directing, Production Design and Sound Design, worked in the Art Department of Fox’s ‘9-1-1: Lone Star’, and had her work as a writer-director recognized at Shriekfest, Mile High Horror, Grimmfest UK, and more. Most recently, her thriller ‘The Lonely Host’ was released on YouTube’s premiere horror channel, Alter and her feature script ‘The Derby’ was named a finalist at Shriekfest 2021.
